Palfinger NZ, a proud member of the Sime Motors NZ family, is thrilled to announce the opening of their new facility at Waterloo Business Park in Christchurch, located at 8 Commercial Crescent, Islington. This milestone marks the completion of one of three major projects within the Sime Motors NZ industrial hub, which began construction in late 2023.
Shared with Engineering & Plant Services (EAPS) and Hino NZ, the facility underscores their commitment to delivering world-class solutions for New Zealand’s transport and materials handling industries, particularly in the South Island.
The development included three distinct projects: a purpose-built facility for Sime Motors NZ businesses, a new home for Terra Cat NZ, and a shared four-storey head office. Their new building houses Palfinger NZ, EAPS, and Hino, along with other Sime Motors NZ brands including Truckstops, TWL, Volvo Trucks NZ, and Mack. The Truckstops facility, in particular, is cutting-edge, featuring a 14-bay mega truck service centre, a parts distribution centre, and dedicated retail and showroom spaces – all designed to elevate service and the customer experience.
