Palfinger New Zealand is excited to announce that the first PK1050TEC crane in the country has been successfully assembled and is now ready to take on its first projects. This groundbreaking crane is also the largest Palfinger ever fitted by a bodybuilder in New Zealand, marking a significant achievement for the local industry. Built in collaboration with Wilkinson Transport Engineers and Seaview Custom Engineering (SVCE), this impressive addition to the Maximus Cranes fleet highlights the innovative capabilities of Palfinger’s TEC range and sets a new benchmark for loader crane builds in the region.
Christchurch-based Maximus Cranes is a proudly owned and operated transport business, now unveiling the first PK1050TEC in Australasia and the longest-reaching crane truck built in New Zealand— a 5-axle Hino 700 with a front-mounted crane. This latest addition to their fleet marks a significant milestone, showcasing their capability to meet the most demanding lifting requirements.  

Unmatched Performance with the PK1050TEC

The PK1050TEC is a state-of-the-art hydraulic crane, renowned for its impressive lifting capacity, precision, and versatility. With a maximum lifting capacity of 30,000 kg and an outreach of up to 40m (with fly jib), the PK1050TEC is perfectly suited to a wide range of heavy lifting and construction tasks. The crane is equipped with Palfinger’s Dual Power System (DPS-Plus) at the fly jib, which delivers increased lifting power exactly when it’s needed. Its High-Power Lifting System ensures exceptional strength for demanding tasks, while the innovative Power Link Plus system allows for precise operation in confined spaces, offering greater flexibility on challenging job sites

This groundbreaking kit is the result of a successful collaboration between Palfinger New Zealand, Wilkinson Transport Engineers, and Seaview Custom Engineering (SVCE). Wilkinson Transport Engineers completed the complex 5-axle modification on the Hino 700 chassis, ensuring the truck was ready to support the PK1050TEC’s capabilities. The PK1050TEC has been expertly fitted to deliver exceptional performance, making it ready for Maximus Cranes to take on their most ambitious projects.
